Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have swelling at the side of the neck under the ear with intense pain while eating, biting, and chewing. I have hearing loss, tinnitus, and swollen tongue, making eating, talking, and sleeping difficult. What should I do?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

I reviewed your symptoms and the picture (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity).

As you said, there is swelling on the left cheek below your ears. The possibilities could be salivary gland inflammation location in that region or infection at the lateral side of your throat.

I suggest consulting an ENT (ear, nose, throat) specialist to examine the throat and confirm the diagnosis directly.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
