Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have this extreme nerve pain in my back right and shoulders, and due to this, both of my hands are so stiff, and also when I slowly hit both of my elbows, I can feel the sensation that you experienced same as when we sometimes hit our elbow somewhere. The worst part happens in the morning, and I cannot concentrate on my works too. The pain starts in my neck suddenly then both my hands become heavy due to low blood circulation.

I underwent MRI and also ECG, but the doctor could not find any problem. The neurologist gave me these medications:

1.Tablet Escinext-10 (one tablet after breakfast).

2.Tablet Amipox-H (after dinner).

3. OmegaGel.

The above two are anti-depressants, and I do not know why the doctor gave me those because I do not have any such disorder. He should provide me with medicine for the nerve problem, but instead, he has given me this, and after having for some time, I feel the pain gets subsided, but still, the pain starts after some time. Please help. I need an expert neurologist to review my condition.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You are right on the fact that this is an antidepressant, but you should know that antidepressants are commonly prescribed for nerve pain and headaches.

So, I agree with your doctor on the prescription of this medication.

You should try to be patient as its effects may need a couple of weeks to show.

Have you performed a cervical spine MRI?

I would be glad to review its report for a second opinion whenever you will upload it.

I hope you will find this answer helpful.

Kind regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
