Hello doctor,

Just for precaution which fruits are safe to have to protect from the Nipah virus? Are coconut water and citrus lime tea safe? What to eat to detect the Nipah virus? I heard there is a homeopathy medicine already invented to combat that virus. Is that true? Gelsemium 200 is the name? I have no symptoms and am fit and fine. Just asking for precaution

To prevent Nipah virus maintain good hygiene procedures like frequent hand washing and cooking food properly before using is the best procedure. It is a brain damaging virus spreading through vertebrate animals to humans and also human to human.

  1. Do not eat partly consumed fruits.
  2. Avoid mangoes.
  3. Do not eat raw dates and palm.
  4. Maintain personal hygiene.
