Does tiny bumps on my hand indicate thrombosed capillaries within small warts?

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have occasionally gotten these tiny bumps with a red dot in the middle for years. Previously they have been mostly on my hand, with the lump ranging from pin-head size to the size of maybe half your little fingernail. I have a mole pen to get rid of them; when they are burnt, they release a lot of blood. Are these thrombosed capillaries within small warts, or is this another issue? The one I can show you in the pictures below appeared on my nose the first time I found them off my hands. Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern. They are not warts. The picture (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) is of the small papules (as seen in two pictures, one is unclear). You have attached possibly a small cutaneous angioma. It can be confirmed by examining under a dermascope. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you so much for the response. Can I ask what causes them, or can you tell me how to prevent them? Kindly suggest.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Angioma is genetic. Some people tend to get it more than others. Excessive sun exposure can trigger the formation of angioma in some people. However, I would suggest you consult a dermatologist whenever possible to confirm the diagnosis, as these things have to be magnified and seen to be confirmed. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
