Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 23 years old. Recently I have had strange symptoms. Firstly I had numbness in my left hand and then in my right hand. Then I had the same symptoms in my legs and feet. I have numbness and also tingling. Then I had a headache, mouth numbness, and right face numbness. I have been checked by the doctor. I did the vitamin D test, and I have a deficiency. I have attached the results for you to check. The doctor advised me to take B12 vitamin injections and administer 25.000 UI two for two weeks, and then I have to take them every month for three months. It has been three days since I took the supplement, and I do not have any improvement. I am afraid, please, do you have any suggestions for me?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I thoroughly read your query and understand your concern.

Firstly, the complaints of tingling and numbness indicate some neuronal insufficiency which could be due to various reasons including vitamin B12 deficiency, multiple vitamin deficiencies, and thyroid dysfunction. There is not much to worry about if you have healthy dietary habits and medications.

I would suggest you get a thyroid profile done. The differential diagnosis for your condition includes B12 deficiency and thyroid dysfunction. The probable diagnosis of your condition is vitamin B12 deficiency. I suggest you take the following medications:

1. Tablet Nurokind-LC (Levocarnitine, methylcobalamin, and folic acid) at 10 PM after food for 20 days.

2. Tablet MVT (vitamin B12) once daily afternoon after food for 20 days.

3. Tablet Vitamin D3 60K IU weekly once for six weeks.

Follow up for review with reports after one week.

Hope this has addressed your concern.

Kind regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
