Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 43-year-old female. I had cold breath while breathing due to which heart palpitates momentarily on and off. This happens during rest also. I had a weird sound in the head with a slight dizzy feeling too. I am presently working from home due to which more stressed out due to such symptoms. While sitting continuously, it leads to numbness of the feet, further leading to the symptoms of anxiety. Last year, I had medicines for the same. Two to three days back, I had brownish discharge similar to periods. Kindly help.

Earlier I was taking Esitamat 5, Anxozap 10, Lonafest 0.5 when needed, Shelcal XT, and Ciplar LA 20.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your query and can understand your health concern. I have seen the ECG (electrocardiography), and it is not showing any severe abnormality (attachment removed to protect patient identity).

In my opinion, your symptoms could be due to excessive stress and a sedentary lifestyle. You may need to continue your previous medications. For further details, contact me through video consultation. You need to decrease your anxiety and stress level by medicines and natural ways both. I suggest you practice yoga and meditation daily for atleast 20 minutes. Do mild to moderate exercise regularly. Go for a brisk walk daily in the morning for at least half an hour. This will help you.

Get your complete blood count checked. You can take calcium and vitamin D3 supplements also. Avoid spicy, oily, and junk foods, excessive tea, or coffee. Drink plenty of water and eat more fruits and green leafy vegetables. Include more fibrous foodstuff in your diet. Whenever you get an anxiety attack, sit quietly with folded legs, close your eyes and take deep breaths slowly and release slowly. Do this about ten to twelve times.

For brownish discharge, you need to consult a gynecologist. Do mild neck exercise daily.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I do not have any cardiac issues except that I feel tensed up and anxious when I am sitting at my table on my computer and doing my job. Why is there cold breathing feeling? This problem of cold breathing is very troublesome. I just started the medicines, so it is quite early to tell how I feel.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You can take Clonarest (Clonazepam) whenever you feel restlessness and anxious. The medicines will take time to act. Cold breathing is due to stress and anxiety only. If you do not want to take Clonarest, you can take tablet Anxozap 10 mg (Oxazepam) about half an hour before sitting near the computer. It will relieve your anxiety.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Are these medicines habit forming? Is there a need to take Aspirin? Kindly explain.

Answered by Dr. Pooja Pardhi

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

These medicines are habit forming if they are used for a long time, so no need to worry. They can be stopped without habit formation if they are tapered slowly and stopped under the guidance of your doctor. There is no need to take Aspirin. In some people only, they turn out to be habit forming. So, do not worry.
