Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 35-year-old female not under medication. I want to know when false memory OCD manifests. If you remember one thing after the night out and the next day, another memory pops up a week later. Please help.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

It would help if you stopped consuming alcohol at any cost. You may have an alcohol use disorder and anxiety due to alcohol. Sometimes there is a blackout due to alcohol consumption, making it difficult to remember events. If you regularly consume alcohol, you may have thiamine deficiency which is also responsible for memory and cognitive impairment. So basically, you have to stop alcohol. It gives you many mental illnesses like anxiety and psychosis in the future. I suggest you get these investigations done, such as complete blood count, random blood sugar, vitamin B12, and vitamin D3.

I hope this information will help.

Thank you.
