Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had my braces removed, but I still think that my front teeth are shifting forward. My dentist says this is because I have a Greek jaw. Can tooth extraction make my teeth go backward?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your question I can understand your concern about your malocclusion.

If you had skeletal malocclusion, there was no need for braces, and if you had dental malocclusion there, treatment should have been satisfactory. I am not able to draw a conclusion from your question as I do not know your profile (dental occlusion). Either you upload a picture of your OPG if you have it, or you can send a photo of your teeth in a neutral position. That is touching your tongue tip to the back of your mouth roof and closing your teeth in the same position, and clicking the picture of your teeth. So in the given circumstances and with a little history, I am unable to conclude the treatment plan.

Hope my answer will help you, and visit us back if you have any further questions.

Regards.
