Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I need to move to another city, and I want to get my treatment as soon as possible, but my orthodontist is not telling me the exact duration for the completion of my braces treatment. If you can tell me how much more time it will be needed for my braces to get off, it would help me. I have attached my image.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and the attached image (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). I am very sorry, but I need to know when was the braces placed. The lower jaw needs time as rubber bands are placed so that the teeth come much closer and start fitting on the inner aspect of the upper jaw. Currently, there is an edge-to-edge bite. You need at least six to seven months to get the job done. If there is any pre-operative x-ray, kindly upload that to me. An orthodontist from another city will not help until your current orthodontist refers the case to him. So if there is an urgency, kindly request your current orthodontist to refer.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
