Hi doctor,
I am in love with a girl, and everything she does or says, whether good or bad or some facts, gets stuck in my head somewhere, and my day is suddenly dull. I have problems like overthinking and a lack of emotions. I get back to normal only when she texts or talks to me via video call. We both are staying apart long-distance but not in a relationship yet. We both have feelings, but she needs time as she has been through the worst experiences. I do not know why this is happening. She makes time for me and calls or texts me. Even during video calls, she listens to me. But when she is busy or not responding the way she does, it affects me a lot. Please help. I want this to work.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your situation.
First, stop over-expecting from your partner. You are interested in a girl, but she is not still ready, so be prepared for it. You cannot force someone to love or like you. It is better to concentrate on yourself and life rather than wasting time behind her. If you are a student, then do not waste your time with her as she will find someone better if you are not successful enough in life. It is a bitter truth but a fact of life. You are even in a "long-distance" so it is rare to get successful because eventually, you both will lose the spark in your relationship if it continues for a long time. So spend time if you like her but do not waste it. Have some fun while chatting and talking but beware of wasting time. It might be difficult for you at present, but it will be better for your future. Think about it. Focus on your career.
I hope that you get your answer.
Please let me know if you want some help.
Thank you.
