Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My 3-year-old had Ovex last night, and since then his vomiting continued. We bought the medicine oven from our local pharmacy, and the pharmacist said that we should all take it. My husband and I feel alright, but my kid is vomiting and continues to complain about tummy pain.

Hello,

Welcome to iCliniq.com.

I thoroughly read your query and understand your concern.

It is important to seek medical advice as soon as possible if your child is experiencing ongoing vomiting and tummy pain. While Ovex (Mebendazole) is an effective treatment for threadworms, it is possible that your child's symptoms may be caused by something else. In the meantime, make sure your child is staying hydrated by offering small sips of water or an oral rehydration solution frequently. You can also try offering small, bland meals such as crackers, toast, or rice. Avoid giving your child dairy, fatty, or spicy foods, as these can make stomach upset worse. If your child's symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical advice from your doctor or pediatrician. They can assess your child's condition and provide appropriate treatment or refer you to a specialist if needed.

Hope this has answered your query.

Regards.
