Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My mother-in-law was diagnosed with asymptomatic COVID two days ago. The family is under quarantine. Today, we checked the oxygen level of my father-in-law. His current oxygen level is 85. He has no symptoms of COVID and also in good health, he does not have any breathing problems. He is 80 years old. As they cannot go out from their apartment, what do you recommend he should do to level his oxygen level?

Thanks.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Please keep checking the saturation levels periodically.

Do yoga and breathing exercises to increase oxygen saturation.

It will be better to get an HRCT (high-resolution computed tomography) chest done if possible at baseline to monitor if oxygen levels drop further.

Take medicine as prescribed by your physician.

Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Do you recommend taking him to the hospital in an emergency? They do not have any family doctor who can prescribe the medicine. What medicine should he take? Can he use Nebulizer to increase the oxygen level?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

He should be taken to the emergency, let them examine, and prescribe you some antibiotics and supportive medications for COVID. It will help reduce the chances of secondary infection and boost his immunity.

Tablet Azee (Azithromycin) 500 mg once daily.

Tablet Limcee (Vitamin C) 500 mg once daily.

Tablet Ivermectin 12 mg once daily.

Tablet Pan (Pantoprazole) 40 mg once daily.

It should be started right away for five days and then stop.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you doctor.

Can you please provide the prescription for these medicines?

Also, my father-in-law is taking Maxum tablet. Should he continue that medicine?
