Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 35-year-old male. My weight is 58 kg, and my height is 174 cm. I am doing yoga, and some basic basketball exercises 2 to 3 times a week. Overall I am doing a sitting job and having a healthy diet, taking vitamins, good progress in yoga, working on my posture, no alcohol, no smoking. I have tension and pain in the places marked black on one side of my body. The places include the buttock, knee, side of the neck, forehead, ankle, a spot in my back on the scapula. The sensations in those places are like its burning and pulling. I always want to curl my leg. As shown in the pictures, the leg just goes there without asking me. My eye on the side with those problems also has some weird sensations like there are muscle spasms inside the eye and some pulling (the ophthalmologist said the eye is fine). And I often find myself with raised eyebrows. That is so weird. I am doing myofascial massage for months, and it is not helping. Although I am regularly doing yoga and physio, the tension is there, and it is not going away. I have it for two years, doing physio for a year now. My upper body is a bit better than it was a year ago. The local doctor said it is stress, but I am currently not that stressed and doing much more physical exercises than a year ago. Of chronic illnesses, spinal Bifida occulta (but it does not influence my health). I was also diagnosed with a c5-c6 4 mm disc bulge. I have malocclusion and have PTSD, because of that taking Lamotrigine and Zoloft (they are not affecting those sensations).

I guess it cannot be just psychological and stress-related? During my teenage years, my posture was really poor. Is it the problem?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I passed carefully through your question and reviewed your X-ray images carefully, and would explain that your symptoms could be related to a wrong posture during childhood. Still, I do not see anything serious in your X-ray studies.

For this reason, I would recommend checking vitamin D plasma levels for possible deficiency.

I recommend continuing regular physical activity to help reinforce your muscles and correct your posture.

Another issue to consider would be fibromyalgia. In such a case, I would recommend discussing with your doctor the possibility of starting Duloxetine to help improve your situation.

I hope you will find this answer helpful.

I remain at your disposal for any further questions whenever you.

I wish you all the best.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
