What should a patient do if the soreness and a white patch on the genital persists even after taking the tablet Varimax?

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have soreness and a white patch on my genitals. I went to a nearby clinic, and the doctor told me that the white patch was due to sexually transmitted infections (STIs). I took the tablet Varimax, but I still see the white patch. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. I checked the attached images (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). It could be due to a sexually transmitted infection if you had unprotected intercourse. I suggest you apply the T-bact (Mupirocin) ointment and undergo the following tests:

  1. Treponema pallidum hemagglutination (TPHA) test.
  2. Human papillomavirus (HPV) polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.
  3. Herpes simplex virus (HSV1 and 2) immunoglobulin (Ig) test.
  4. Herpes simplex virus (HSV1 and 2) immunoglobulin M (IgM) test.
  5. Chlamydia trachomatis immunogluboulin G (IgG) test.
  6. Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) screening test.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
