Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Having painful sex six weeks postpartum and five weeks after my obgyn had to suction blood out of my uterus because my cervix closed too soon. Wondering if this is normal or if I should set up an appointment to be checked out. I am female, 23 years old. I am 5 feet 9 inches tall and weigh 300 lbs.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Yes, it is normal, sometimes body takes a little longer time to heal especially if there was instrumentation being done with the uterus. If you do not have any pain otherwise or any never, discharge or excessive bleeding then you do not have to worry. It is just that your body is not ready yet to bear sex. I would suggest you to wait for one more week or so and see how the condition stays and even then it is the same then please do not forget to book an appointment with your local doctor.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
