Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 22-year-old female. I have a hard lump by the inner thigh and groin area for around two months now. I am on contraceptive pills for the past five years.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the image (attachment removed to protect patient identity) and the details you presented. Can you feel any pus or fluid kind of thing inside it? Is there any rise in temperature in the area around? Also, did you shave that area where the lump is? In the meantime, for relief, use vaginal wash to clean the area. Keep the area dry. Do not wear tight clothes. Avoid intense exercise. Based on your inputs, I will prescribe medicines for you.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Some blood came out yesterday, but there is still a small lump feeling now. There is no rise in temperature. I did not shave the area, but I have had a laser near the area.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

After reading the details shared by you, I am pretty relieved. It is a small lump, most probably due to some uprooting of very small hair most probably due to some tight clothing rubbing. It was a simple lump. By now, it must have become even smaller. The only thing is that keep the area dry. If there is no pain and there is no rise in temperature, I think you need not take any medicines. I am sure in the next one or two days, and you will be perfectly fine. Just make sure you wear loose clothing, and the area remains dry. Use vaginal wash to clean the area and wipe clean softly. If, instead of getting smaller, the lump starts increasing, let me know immediately, then I will request you for certain medicines which are not required at this stage. Do not do strenuous physical activity until the lump clears.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
