Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am having some troubles, and I thought of consulting online first. First of all, for background, I am a patient with acute OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder), with problems with excessive handwashing and bathing. I have been suffering from it for the last six years. I have to make it clear I am unmarried and have not indulged in any sexual contact with any person yet. There is also dryness in my groin area because of soap use due to OCD.

This particular health query is about vaginal pain during peeing. I feel a sharp pain in my vagina whenever I pee, which lasts about 30 minutes. The color of pee does not matter. The pain appears consistently, whether it is white or yellow, and I have had this problem for one month or so. I also get some pain in the vagina when I laugh, cry loudly, or under heavy emotional stress (which occurs every day). I have had irregular periods for the last three years, but they come in the fourth to the fifth week. I drink around 500 to 600 ml of water each day. However, I cannot drink too much water. Otherwise, I have to take a bath every time I go to pee, which only aggravates my issues. Today I was unable to eat much because of pain in my belly, which is somehow connected to vaginal pain.

Can you diagnose my problem based on these symptoms and offer me some insight, treatment, and diet for any or all issues of mine?

I would be extremely thankful to you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your problem seems to be both physical and psychological. I want to treat the physical part of the problem. As you are having pain in the vaginal area during peeing, there is a urinary tract infection that has to be treated. You did not have sexual intercourse, so the chances of sexually transmitted diseases are excluded. I would like you to get specific investigations done.

  1. Complete blood count.
  2. Urine test.
  3. Serum TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone).
  4. Ultrasound of the whole abdomen.

You should try to clean your private parts with antiseptic solutions diluted in water after every urination and then apply the ointment given below. Also, try to wear cotton panties.

  • Ointment Surfaz SN (Clotrimazole).

Revert with the reports.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
