Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have palpitations that started two years ago. After multiple normal ECGs and a normal echocardiography, one ECG showed occasional PVCs. I am taking Inderal 10 mg once in the morning daily, Sertraline 100 mg once in the morning every day, and Clonazepam 0.25 mg when needed. Am I on the correct medications, and will my palpitations resolve? Kindly suggest.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Your ECG (electrocardiogram) showed occasional PVCs (premature ventricular contractions) (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). You might need treatment if the premature ventricular contractions are very frequent or bothersome or if you have an underlying heart condition. I suggest you to take,

1. Vitamin B12 tablet, Neurobion 10 mg one tablet orally once daily for 20 days.

2. Vitamin D capsule, DV 60 K one capsule orally once a week for eight weeks.

3. Tablet Zecal Max (Calcium citrate malate and vitamin D3) one tablet orally once daily for 20 days.

4. Exercise regularly.

5. Take Propranolol (a medication that lowers blood pressure) as suggested earlier.

Also, I suggest getting a fasting lipid profile test and CRP (c-reactive protein) done. CRP checks your infection profile.

Kindly follow up every day for an update on your well-being.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
