Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am suffering from a pancreas problem. I did a CT scan, and in the report, the pancreas appears to have increased in size and shows heterogeneous enhancement with pancreatic fat standing and fluid collection. There was no parenchymal calcification or duct dilatation. Please let me know the solution for this condition.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

The clinical history and CT (computed tomography) report (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) suggest that you suffer from pancreatitis. You need to give some dietary control until you tolerate normal foods well. You have to be hydrated well and avoid getting any infection. This condition can have a wide range of manifestations. The natural course can be understood only by serially observing how the disease behaves. In 60 to 80 percent, it will be mild and settle, as is your case now.

Would like to know more details for giving specific comments.

1. Have you experienced this before?

2. Any precipitating event or food like alcohol?

3. Is there any history of fever or breathlessness?

4. Have you done a serum amylase test?

Please consider a detailed consultation with these so that we can discuss this further.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
