Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been suffering from acne for about seven months now. I never had acne in the past. Suddenly it came now and making me stressed. For the first two months, I have lots of whiteheads (lots) on my forehead, and after some time, it becomes big pimples with pus. I have the urge to prick, so I do prick a lot, and now it is full of dark acne spots with small pimples, and there are big hard pimples with no pus that I do not know how to deal with. Please help me.

Hi,

Please attach a picture of the lesion for a better understanding. Apply Epiduo (Adapalene and Benzoyl Peroxide) gel at night for 15 days. Do you have an oily skin type? Do you have any postinflammatory hyperpigmentation marks? Do you have any dark spots? Did you use any occlusive cosmetic lotion, cream, cleanser use? Did you use any oily greasy cosmetic products use? Do you have any stress? Do you have any hormonal imbalance or fluctuations?

Hi doctor,

Thanks for your reply. I have a combination type of skin.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Take Tablet Azithromycin 500 mg once in a day after dinner for 3 days in a week for three weeks, use Kojic (Kojic acid) cream at night for 20 days (on dark spots), Cetaphil Moisturizer cream or lotion in morning and afternoon to avoid dryness due to acne cream (if skin becomes dry), Photostable sunscreen daily at 9 AM-12 PM-3 PM for 20 days. Avoid Scratching or rubbing or popping or picking pimples as cause secondary bacterial infection with deep scars. Eat healthy and nutritious food. Eat food rich in Vitamin A like carrots, papaya, and Vitamin C like berries, oranges, and Avocado. Stay hydrated. Drink lots of water. Do exercise regularly for 30 minutes to maintain hormonal balance. Moisturize skin daily. Apply photostable sunscreen 30 minutes before going outdoors. Take Tablet Limcee (Vitamin C) 500 mg once in a day for 30 days (to improve skin tone). Follow-up for any doubts.
