Hello doctor,
I am a 33-year-old unmarried woman. My height is 5 feet, and my weight is 48 kg. For the past 15 days, I have had dark hair growth around my navel, chest, and face. My doctor has suggested me to wax it. I am very slim and also have a lot of hair fall. I am feeling very inferior due to the hair growth. Can you please suggest a permanent method to stop the unwanted hair growth?

The excessive hair growth over the chest and other parts can be due to hirsutism or polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), in which a hormonal imbalance in the body leads to excessive hair growth. I suggest you to get an ultrasound of your lower abdomen to detect the presence of any cysts in the ovaries. Regarding appearance, waxing is a good option for hair removal. Also, you can opt for permanent hair removal at a specialized skin clinic.
