Why am I having a clear penile discharge after poking or prodding my glans penis?

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am worried about having an STD. I had oral sex with my partner last week, and I have been filled with anxiety since then. Recently, I have been poking and prodding at my penis glans and when I squeeze it, I get a clear penile discharge. There is not much discharge. It is more like just a little line, and it happens when I am squeezing at my penis glans. It seems like it could be an STI, but also could be from irritation? I have no burning sensation, no redness on the tip, no fever, no swollen glans, or none of the other symptoms associated. Could it be that I am overly sensitive and I am irritating it?

My stomach has also been in bits since then, out of fear and I feel like my bladder often has an uncomfortable feeling. I have not eaten or drank well through the past few days, and I am not sure if this has anything to do with my problem?

Can you advise the appropriate treatment?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

If you can share the images of the affected area, I can help you better.

Based on the history given, you had oral sex and have an issue so you are thinking of an STI (sexually transmitted infection). There is a need to go for investigations.

All symptoms can vary from person to person and depends on the organism involved in it. There is no need to worry.

You need to do an STI panel of investigation tests which includes the following:

• TPHA (treponema palladium hemagglutination),

• HPV (human pappiloma virus) DNA PCR test,

• Herpes simplex virus (HSV) 1 and 2 IgG,

• Herpes simplex virus (HSV) 1 and 2 IgM and serum,

• Chlamydia trachomatis IgG,

• HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) 1 and 2 antibodies and screening test,

• HbsAg.

Hi doctor,

I am attaching my picture here. Please take a look at it.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I checked your picture (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). However, I cannot see any obvious visible lesion.

You can do the tests so that we can be 100 % sure it is not an STI (sexually transmitted infection).

If it is a simple bacterial infection then you need to use the capsule Doxycycline 100 mg twice a day after food for five days and the ointment T-bact for local application.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
