Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Three weeks ago, I tested positive for COVID-19. I am almost recovered now.

Today for the first time, I spotted blood in my stool. So I am worried, is the blood in my stool due to internal bleeding? As I took Paracetamol for so many days, is it due to piles? I took a lot of medicines during the course, along with ginger and spices tea.

Currently, I am taking Vitamin C 1000 mg and Zinc 50 mg every day. Should I stop taking vitamins? Can you prescribe me any cream for my symptoms?

I have attached a picture for reference. Please advise me accordingly.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com

I have seen the picture provided by you (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), and it looks like the condition is due to hemorrhoids, and it does not look like a case of internal bleeding.

You can continue taking Zinc and Vitamin C, as they are not co-related to your condition and possess no issues with them.

Try to avoid getting constipated, and I would suggest you start the following treatment.

I hope this helps and in case of further queries, do contact us.

Thank you.

Probable diagnosis

Internal hemorrhoids.

Treatment plan

1. Syrup Cremaffin (Milk of Magnesia) Teaspoonful two times a day. 2. Hadensa Forte (Menthol, Lidocaine, Thymol, Lanolin) or Glycerine Trinitrate Forte Ointment, local application three times a day.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I talked to my chemist, and he informed me that Hadensa Forte is not available. He did advise me to take Crema Gel which contains 2 % Diltiazem and is advised for anal fissures. Can you please provide me with the generic name of Hadensa Forte? Is Diltiazem cream effective in my case?

Please advise accordingly.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Diltiazem will not work in your case. As requested the generic name for Hadensa Forte is Chlorocarbachol, Menthol, and Prednisolone.

If any of these is not available to you, I would recommed you to take any hemorrhoidal cream available near you.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
