Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have pimples on my penis, I do not feel any pain when I touch. I just want them to dissappear. I am having this for the past many months, I was feeling shame to consult, but now I do not want to take risk. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. According to your statement you have been suffering from pimples on your penis for the past few months. Pimples can develop on the penis as they are common elsewhere on the body. Pimples are resulted from blockage of the sebaceous gland of the skin due to excess sebum or debris or dead skin. Sebaceous glands excess secretion of oil (sebum) can develop pimples.

For the prevention of pimples, you should avoid excess sweat-producing activities, wear loose clothes for preventing them from frictions, take bath regularly, and do not rub your affected area.

You can use topical retiniods, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, etc. Without any medications they are also disappeared with passing of time by keeping personal hygiene strictly.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

My problem is it is like white pimples around the edges and skin is hardened on the top of the penis. I need some ointment.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Previously you have mentioned that you were feeling shame to discuss this matter. For this reason, I did not ask you about your sexual life like monosexual or bisexual? Monogamy or polygamy? During sex using condoms or not? Did your partner suffer from any STD? How did they appear and what is the initial factor? Were they developed from unprotected sexual intercourse?

I hope you are suffering from pearly penile papules by any causes. Usually they need no treatment. You can use mild corticosteroid cream like hydrocortisone with topical retinoids or Isotretinoin cream along with anti-fungal cream like Clotrimazole two to three times daily. You can go for a biopsy from your affected skin which may detect the exact culprit for your sufferings and treat them accordingly.

You can go for biopsy from your affected penile skin or FNAC (if possible) which may help to detect the exact culprit for your sufferings and then treat them accordingly.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
