Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have tiny zits on the foreskin of my penis. I noticed one or two zits a few days back, and by yesterday it had spread a lot. I am not circumcised, and the zits appear to be on the foreskin close to the head of the penis. I have been sexually active with my girlfriend. Any insights on what it could be and how to treat it?

Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

The tiny pimples are small sebaceous cysts. It is a sebum collection of glands which is in the skin. The only thing to be done at this stage is observation. If they grow bigger, then the only treatment is to remove them surgically. There is no cream or lotion which can treat them. They usually remain in the same size and disappear on their own. To prevent such pimples, all you need to do is to clean and dry the area regularly. There is no need to apply powder or any cream or oil as it might block the glands and block the sebum inside.

Kind regards.
