Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 26 years old male. I have a pimple on my penis (shaft side) for six months. It is neither reducing its size nor bursting away. Generally, there is no pain associated. Rarely, it has pained for one or two times, and the pain hardly sustains for one to two minutes. I am worried that it can be an STD, like HPV or syphilis. For two weeks, I am noticing small grain-like pimples on my forehead. I had sex with three to four people in the last year. I always used protection. Please suggest appropriate testing and treatment procedure. Thanks.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for writing in, and I understand your concern. A proper assessment can be done if you can provide more information regarding the same. Is it a pus-filled lesion? Do you have any burning or itching sensation? Is there any aggravation of itching at night? Is there any urethral discharge? Do you have any pain during urination? Is there an increased frequency of urination? Kindly attach a clinical picture for a proper evaluation to be done. Thanks.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply. Yes, it is a pus-filled lesion, looks full white mostly and sometimes reddish. Slight burning sensation was there five days back, once in the morning and once at night, lasting for one to two minutes. I have also experienced a mild burning sensation two to three times in the last week. There were no episodes of burning sensation before that. There is no itching or pain during urination. The urination frequency is three to four times a day. I have attached a picture of the genital infected area. Kindly help. Thanks.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I have evaluated the photographs attached (attachments removed to protect patient's identity). After evaluation of symptoms and photographs, it is a cystic wart lesion. I suggest Tablet Ciprofloxacin 500 mg once a day after food for five days or Tablet Zifi (Cefixime) 200 mg twice daily after food for five days. Apply Nadibact cream (Nadifloxacin) or Mupirocin ointment twice daily for ten days on the lesion. Wash genitals daily with Episoft cleanser or no soap cleanser. Maintain proper genital hygiene. Avoid scratching and rubbing of the lesion. Avoid popping or pricking the lesion. Practice safe sex. Avoid multiple partners. Use barriers. Keep a check on sugar levels. Get urine routine, urine culture, or microscopy done. Get the VDRL (the venereal disease research laboratory) test and HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) test done. Surgical excision under local anesthesia or cryocautery are the other options available. Consulting a surgeon is recommended. Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
