Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been getting pimples on my right cheek for five years. There is no pus discharge, but the pimples are painful. Please help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

As per the history and image provided (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), it is grade 1 acne. They develop due to sudden hormonal fluctuations in the body, an imbalanced diet, climatic conditions, and genetic factors. I suggest you take the following medications (consult a specialist doctor, discuss with them and take medicines with their consent). Use Salicylic acid 2 % and Glycolic acid face wash are to be applied in the morning and night. Apply about a teaspoon quantity and gently massage your face, especially around the affected area, in a circular motion and wash off within one minute. Use Clindamycin and Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5 % gel to be applied after using the face wash on a clean, dry face in the morning and night. It should be applied as a spot treatment on the pimples only. Take Tablet Ascorbic acid 500 mg to be taken after dinner for one month. Avoid oily food, milk, dairy products, red meat, and sweets. Consume more fruits and vegetables and consume at least ten glasses of water a day.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
