Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 21 years old. My date of period is 16th and it got over on 20th. I need to travel. If I start taking pills 15 days prior to my date, will it delay my periods?

Answered by Dr. Neha Rathod

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

In case you want to postpone your periods, then start taking the medication a week before your scheduled periods and then you can postpone the periods.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

How long do I continue the pills once I start and can you recommend some names of pills I can take?

Answered by Dr. Neha Rathod

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You can take tablet Primolut N (Norethisterone) 5 mg twice a day from a week before your scheduled periods and continue taking it till you want to delay your periods. Once you want to get back your periods, stop the medication. Within a week or so you will get back your periods.

Take care.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Any other names?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Deviry (Medroxyprogesterone) 10 mg will also help you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
