Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am carrying now currently on the 28th week. I have nausea. I never had nausea previously. But now, I got it suddenly two days back. Is it normal? What should I do to avoid this nausea? I am Rh-negative and I am advised to take an injection one before delivery and after delivery. In which week, should I need to take the injection?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

This could be because of hormonal changes occurring during pregnancy. It is quite normal and there is nothing to worry about. Please take antiemetics and also get checked once by your gynaecologist. However, if you have a doubt then get back to me. Take care.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I am having severe heartburn. I cannot sleep properly because of it. Can you suggest any medicine for the same? or any other measures to be taken to avoid heartburn?

Answered by Dr. Neha Rathod

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Take antacid syrup. Avoid oily and spicy foods. Take plenty of fluids. However, if you have a doubt then get back to me. Take care.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I have an urge to urinate more often. But nothing comes out or very less amount of urine that too comes immediately after I urinate sometimes. There is no burning sensation while urinating. Is this symptom of UTI? If yes, then do I need to get any tests done?

Answered by Dr. Neha Rathod

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, it is UTI (urinary tract infection) only. Get a complete urine examination done. Avoid having sex till then. Wear cotton panties and loose lowers. Maintain personal hygiene and take plenty of fluids. Wash your private parts with normal tap water every time when you use the washroom. Do get back to me with reports so that I can guide you further. Take care.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I hope you are doing well. I am currently in the eighth month of pregnancy. I got a fever and cold a few days back and it has reduced completely. But now, I have a dry cough and whenever I cough, my upper abdomen is paining a lot because of which I am trying to avoid coughing. Can you suggest any medicine for dry cough? and what should be done for the abdomen pain which is being caused by the cough?

Answered by Dr. Neha Rathod

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Take syrup Grilinctus (Ammonium chloride, Chlorpheniramine malate, Dextromethorphan hydrobromide, and Guaifenesin) three times a day. Steam inhalation, warm water intake, and gargling will help you. However, if you have a doubt then get back to me. Take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
