Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Can a girl get pregnant even though I did not ejaculate inside her?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Yes, this method has some failure rate ranging from 4 to 25 percent depending on how effectively it is carried out. So usually, a girl will not get pregnant in most of the cases, but the possibility cannot be ruled out. Also, baseline risk depends on which day of the cycle the sex was done. Say if it was done within 2 to 3 days of the period or in a week before the period, then chances are very less at baseline. So, if sex has happened within last 3 to 4 days, then she may have an emergency contraceptive pill to further reduce the chances of pregnancy.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I did it after her period, after three days. Is there a possibility?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is considered as a safe period for sex. So, if we consider combinedly, then the risk is less. However, we cannot rule out possibility cent percent till she gets her period, but the risk is less (nearly less than 5 percent).
