Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My wife is five months pregnant. She has been suffering from a cold and runny nose since morning. I have attached her prescription. Her hemoglobin level is 9 mg/dL. She is currently taking Folic acid tablets.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have seen the images attached (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). Does she have a fever?

Follow the below steps;

1. I suggest (consult with a specialist doctor, talk with him or her and take medicines with their consent) a tablet Cetirizine 120 mg for her once at night after dinner for three days.

2. I suggest a tablet Azithromycin 500 mg for her once daily for three days.

3. I suggest tablet Paracetamol 500 mg thrice daily for three days.

4. Ask her to do steam inhalation.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor for the reply,

She has a fever of 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Should she avoid any medications during pregnancy?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Consult a gynecologist for a prescription and to know which medicines to be taken or which ones to be avoided during pregnancy.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
