Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I had sex with my husband before a month. My periods is delayed by six days. My urine pregnancy tests give negative results. Am I pregnant?
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
Please wait for two more days and repeat the urine pregnancy test. If the result is negative go for withdrawal medication after consulting a doctor. The chances of pregnancy are very rare in your case.
Patient's Query
Thank you doctor for the reply,
I checked once gain and the result was negative. I have back pain but do not have symptoms like vomiting, nausea, and cramps. We do not want the baby now. Should I be concerned about pregnancy?
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
You are not pregnant. You should wait for a few days. If you did not get your period, please consult a gynaecologist and get your ultrasonography test done to rule out the pregnancy and medication for withdrawal bleeding.
Patient's Query
Thank you doctor for the reply,
I had spotting today. I expected periods but it did not happen. I have used urine pregnancy test on my second, fifth, and seventh day of my due date. How long should I wait? Can you prescribe a confirmatory test for pregnancy?
Hi,
Welcome back to icliniq.com.
Stress can affect your periods. Home urine pregnancy test should be done after seven days from the due date. For confirmatory diagnosis you can go for the lower abdomen ultrasound or pelvic ultrasound. It can be taken in any diagnostic Centre.
