Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I feel some discomfort in my urethra, which results in premature ejaculation. I suspect it is due to irritation from the intake of sugary food or any other food. The slightest intake of sugar causes premature ejaculation.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Intake of sugary food has no relation with premature ejaculation (PE). But, an increase in blood sugar may precipitate urinary infection including prostatitis, which may be a cause of PE, but this is very rare. Do you have any medical comorbidities like diabetes, hypertension, cardiac issues, etc.? Premature ejaculation is mostly a psychological issue. Try to divert yourself during sex that is the stop-start technique. If you are about to ejaculate, then squeeze your glans penis in between your thumb and index finger. You can also use local anesthetic jelly over your penis, but then it is better to use a condom with that. There are few medicines available like Dapoxetine or Paroxetine, which will increase your timing.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thanks for the prompt response. The premature ejaculation is always due to the itchy feeling in the urethra, and this happens mostly after taking any food that has sugar including fruits like pineapple or orange. My PE experience is definitely not due to a psychological factor, as the techniques have not worked for me, and my experience is more certainly after intake of sugar. My body has zero tolerance for any form of sugar intake. However, my blood sugar has always tested normal. I avoid sugary substances as much as I can. What could be responsible for urethra discomfort that causes the urge to ejaculate quickly during intercourse?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

I suggest you get a few tests done like fasting and postprandial blood sugar levels, HbA1c, routine urine analysis in the sample collected when you have urethral discomfort.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
