Patient's Query

Hi,

I am a 27-year-old woman, and I want to prepone my periods. I have to travel for important work. My expected date for periods is after a week, and I have to travel early morning that day. Could you suggest to me a medicine which can prepone my periods? I am currently not under any other medication. Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Usually, we do not give medicines to prepone periods as results can be unpredictable, but yes, periods can be postponed easily.

I suggest you to take the tablet Primolut-N (Norethisterone) 5 mg thrice daily from tomorrow for the next seven days.

You will get your periods after two to three days when you stop this medicine. However, this will delay your periods for almost ten days.

If this is fine with you, then you can take it. Otherwise, I suggest you to take tablet Meprate (Medroxyprogesterone Acetate) 10 mg twice daily for three days starting from today, and on stopping this, you will get your periods within two to three days, but sometimes, it can take up to six days as well.

So it will not solve your purpose as these medications are not predictable.

I also suggest you to consult with a specialist doctor, talk with them and take medicines with their consent.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
