Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am here to consult regarding contraception as I wish to avoid pregnancy since me and my partner does not want to conceive yet.

Please help, doctor.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your concern in detail and will surely help you out.

Considering your young age, you have two options. One is a barrier that is condoms or oral contraceptive pills. If you have sex regularly, pills are a better option as they have 99 % efficacy and are easy to take. However, if you have occasional sex, condoms will be better as pills are associated with complications. Permanent contraception is out of the question as you still need pregnancy at a later stage and copper T or intrauterine device insertion is not a very good option for a person who has never been a mother as these devices mess up the uterus for future pregnancies. So it is for you to decide which one is comfortable for you guys, condom or contraceptive pills.

Thank you.
