Hello doctor,

I suffer from PCOS and do not get my period naturally. Only after taking tablets I get my period. Can I get pregnant by taking Progesterone tablets and in the three-day gap after consuming the tablets if we get physical? Is there any chance of getting pregnant? Please help.

Thanks.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Taking a Progesterone tablet three days ago would not prevent the pregnancy, but you must have taken this medicine because you missed your periods, so you have intercourse on a safe day. So there is no chance of getting pregnant. Also, PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) cycles are usually anovulatory, which means no egg formation. You should take a proper hormonal course for at least three months to regulate your periods. Please mention your last menstrual date and date of intercourse so I can help you properly.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.
