Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My 78-year-old grandfather has been diagnosed with prostate growth, and his doctor has suggested he get his testicle removed. Also, he has prostate cancer. However, he does not have diabetes or hypertension. Is it safe for him to undergo surgery? Will he get back to normal?

Kindly advise.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. If he has prostate cancer, the prostate and surrounding tissues that are affected must be removed. Therefore, your doctor has suggested a testes removal. He will recover based on his general health condition.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
