Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I recently took a general blood test. I request you to go through my blood test report and give me suggestions. Especially, I would like to mention about alanine transaminase (SGPT) value, which is 56.2 U/L. It is very much higher than the normal range. My previous surgical history includes elbow complication. So, I had two surgeries in the last two years. For weight loss, I am taking Ayur slim capsules from Himalaya Herbals, two capsules twice a day after meals.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

We are here to help you.

  • If you are on treatment for hypothyroidism, then the report is acceptable. But if you are not on any treatment, then you would need to monitor this. Check thyroid profile for every three months.
  • Rise in liver enzyme can be due to alcohol consumption, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, hepatitis B and C. So, you should get your ultrasound and hepatitis B and C tested.
