Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had an X-ray of my tooth yesterday. The doctor advised me to have a root canal and told me that my wisdom tooth was erupting, but it was not finding any space, so it was hurting the other tooth. Can you please see the X-ray and advise me?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Wisdom tooth which has no space to erupt causes jaw pain. Removing the impacted wisdom tooth is the only option. Sometimes, the impacted wisdom tooth hits the nearby good tooth and leads to pain in that nearby tooth. Such a tooth will require root canal treatment. Please proceed with the treatment as your doctor suggested. Further clarifications and proper advice can be given only after confirming the diagnosis.

I hope this helps.
