Reactive Airway Disease

Any disease condition leading to bronchial spasm is known as reactive airway disease. These refer to a set of symptoms causing bronchial spasms. Though the term is vague, it implies the hyper reaction of the bronchial tubes and airways to irritants leading to breathing difficulties, wheezing, etc. If an exact diagnosis of the breathing difficulty is not made, the term reactive airway disease is given to the condition until reaching a specific diagnosis.
