Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I think I have a fungal infection on my penis. I have redness and red dots on the head of my penis and foreskin, and it feels very itchy.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Regarding your concern, there are a few things which you need to take care. First, fungal and bacterial infections can co-exist, so before diagnosing a fungal infection, you should examine yourself by a urologist to see for any other possible cause of your problem and rule out a bacterial infection because the treatment will differ in both infections. Secondly, the most common cause of infection at your age is hygiene and humidity. Change your towel and undergarments. Otherwise, the infection will reoccur even after being cured with medication. If this infection is recurrent, get your blood sugar checked.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
