Can small red spots occur on the skin due to leukemia?

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Over the past month, I have noticed a small red dot on my skin. They usually appear overnight and disappear within a few days. I have searched on the internet and grown concerned about this being a symptom of leukemia. I feel fine otherwise.

Please advise.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

Following is my opinion about your asked question. I have seen attached images from the attached reports (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). It is some form of allergic hives over the body. It is not a sign of blood cancer. You might have misinterpreted information on the internet. You can be prescribed Levocetirizine as an antihistaminic drug for your skin rash. I suggest you visit a dermatologist for your examination and accordingly get a prescription.

I hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Best regards.
