Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My echocardiography color doppler study report of the heart showed a positive result for regional wall motion abnormality with a hypokinetic mid and apical septum. There was a good LV systolic function and grade one diastolic dysfunction. The cardiac chambers and valves were normal. There was intact septate or sclerotic AV. There was trivial AR or trivial TR or mild MR or NO PR. There are no clots.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Please mention whether you have a history of chest pain. The abnormality in your report is regional wall motion abnormality and it indicates that there is no proper contraction on one part of the heart. It occurs due to blockage in arteries. You need to do angiography. You can take Aspirin 150 mg, Clopidogrel 75 mg, and Rosuvastatin 30 mg at bedtime. You should consult a cardiologist soon.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

What do these parameters suggest in the report? There is mitral flow E of 0.75 m/second, A of 1.24 m/second. I have an aortic flow of 1.3 m/second, a pulmonary flow of 0.79 m/second, and a tricuspid flow of 1.9 m/second.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

The first one is slightly altered, E should be more than A. But there is nothing to be worried. These are blood flow velocities. It indicates that there is slow relaxation of heart muscles and it does not require specific treatment. The rest of the parameters are fine within the physiological range.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

It is confirmed as hemi-blockage in ECG. Still, we need to do angiography to confirm the same. What is the next course of action after angiography?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

On considering your echocardiography reports, it suggests there are some blockages. But sometimes it can give a false interpretation. If you have chest pain on exertion, then you need to do angiography. If you are asymptomatic, then you need to do a treadmill test or stress thallium test.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

What are parameters need to be looked in angiography after the test? Please suggest the parameters that declares that there is no blockage in the heart veins. I would share the reports after doing it for further guidance.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

In angiography, we can see the arteries and blockages directly and clearly when there is discontinuation in the blood flow. You can share the report.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
