Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have restless leg syndrome due to which I am not able to sleep. No medication is taken. I am feeling very sick due to sleeplessness. Please advice.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Insomnia due to restless leg syndrome is very common. But how did you diagnose restless leg syndrome? Have you consulted anyone?

Kindly answer some questions. Are you suffering from any disorder like Parkinson's disease? Is the restlessness of leg increased during day time while you are sitting quietly? Is voluntary movement of legs improved discomfort in legs? Does your pain/discomfort improve with walking?

After that, I will advise some investigation and medication.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I am not suffering from Parkinson disease. And yes, I have restless of leg and discomfort increase with voluntary movement of legs.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is restless leg syndrome. Please do the following tests.

1. CBC (complete blood count).

2. S.ferritin.

3. S.creatinine.

4. S.vitamin B12.

Start tablet Zapiz (Clonazepam) 0.25 mg at bedtime daily for 15 days, tablet Pramipex 0.25 mg one tablet in the morning. You might get more sleep, so in that case, you have to adjust the dose and contact me.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor will get back to u after the test results.
Okay.. Waiting for those reports. Regards

Patient's Query

Please find my reports and suggest me the course of action. Can I start the medicines prescribed by you from tonight?
Hello Madam, Noted your reports. Ferritin and Vitamin B12 lower end of normal range. But I am surprised that why your S.Creatinine is high, For same I am advising to consult Nephrologist ( Kidney Specialist) for further work up to identify the reason. For restless leg Syndrome Along with above prescribed medicine, Take iron and Vit B12 tablet, Tab Orofer XT ( iron and Vitamin B12 and other vitamins ) 1 tab daily in the morning after lunch for 30 days ( You might have black colour stool with this tablet, but do not worry) Regards.

Patient's Query

I have lot of mental irritation and getting angry very soon. Basically bursting out for everything immediately. On everybody. This is really spoiling the relationships. Please advice.
Hello ma'am , Short temperedness is not a disease, But yes it's a problem. Suggestions: You have to practice Yoga/Meditation for calming your mind. You have to relax your mind frequently, whenever you are getting irritation or frustration, take deep breath and tell your mind "Let it go". Do regular 45 min Physical exercise. Do not sit untill you are fully tired. Keep yourself away from bed during day time Learn Pranayam/Meditation which will definitely help you Take healthy diet Take proper sleep Make your routine schedule and follow it Be flexible Don't take everything seriously and personally Sometime if situation is not under control of you then let it go Do not take much stress on happening because it is not in your hand. Take regular medication as prescribed by doctor Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
