Hello doctor,

Ringworms on my skin are spreading, and I have had this problem for three to four months. It is also itchy. I have taken homeopathic treatment in the past. Please suggest some medications.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Kindly follow up with relevant photographs to confirm the diagnosis and treatment accordingly.

You may have a fungal infection, commonly affecting the inner thighs, groin, and buttocks area. It can be treated by a course of anti-fungal treatment, including tablets and creams. Do not use soap over that area. Mistreatment with over-the-counter steroid-containing creams like Fourderm, Panderm, Quadriderm, Dermi5, Betnovate, Dermikem OC, and Candid B lead to repeated case of recurrence and also side effects due to application. Do not use steroid-containing combination creams. Please consult with photos for a detailed prescription. Do not delay treatment as it may spread further on your body and other household members.

Hope this helps.

Thanks and take care.
