Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My son has a problem with his tooth. I am attaching the picture of the teeth. He had a bit of piece broken from the tooth. It does not cause pain. But he has a fear to consult a dentist. Please suggest.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the attached picture and X-ray (attachment removed to protect patient identity). Your son has a carious tooth in the lower left first molar. As it has reached the pulp, the tooth needs a root canal treatment to resolve the issue. The procedure is painful and time-consuming. As per the clinician skill, the procedure is completed in multiple or single visits. A dental crown is placed over the treated tooth for additional strength. He will become fine once it is done. He can take capsule Sporidex 500 mg (Cephalexin) twice daily after a meal for five days, tablet Ibuprofen twice daily after meal for five days, and tablet Omeprazole one tablet twice a day before a meal for five days. Avoid taking sticky or cold or sweet foods. Brush the teeth twice daily.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
