Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 27-year-old male with a medical history of traumatic brain injury, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and epididymitis presenting with a scrotal lump. The lump is 0.472 inch and located on the outer skin of the scrotum, closer to the right testicle. The lump is painless and of red color. I had problems during sex where my right testicle moved into the abdomen. I am sure it is a hernia. This has been ongoing for a few years but has not sought treatment. STDs are highly unlikely, tested one year ago with the same partner. No lesions are located on the shaft. I shave the area above the penis but do not directly shave the scrotal area. And no other symptoms are present. I am looking for a doctor who has seen multiple lumps or bumps on the scrotum to give visual interpretation if possible.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern. The photos suggest (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) an inflammatory pathology, most likely a hair follicle infection, which appears to be subsiding in the other pictures. At this point, you should maintain local hygiene, and the lesion will resolve. I recommend a visit to your general physician to confirm by clinical examination. Regarding your question about a hernia, it does not appear from the pictures. However, a detailed clinical examination would be necessary to rule that out again.

I hope this was helpful.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
