Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

There has been a small lump on my chest for more than seven years now. I have attached my reports. Would you please check them? It has never shown any symptoms since it came up. It is hard to touch, but it is painless. There is no pus coming out of it. But now, when I noticed the lump, it had become a little bigger. It is not even sensitive to touch. I would like to know what this lump is and how to remove it through medicine, either oral or topical application. Can you tell me if this is a benign lump? Should I be worried? Can you prescribe drugs to remove the lump without surgery? Also, I do not have BP or diabetes. Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thanks for writing in, and I understand your concern. Based on you reports it is a sebaceous cyst (attachments removed to protect the patient's identity). It is a benign structure, and no medications are required. I would advise you to visit a local dermatologist to remove it surgically a very simple procedure that would hardly take 15 minutes. Regards.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your response. Is there a possibility of getting it treated by topical medications? And will the surgery be a short and quick one, or do I need to admit myself to the hospital for a couple of days? And also, will the surgery will be done after giving anesthesia? I also would like to know why it has happened to me? Would you please give me your opinion on this? Regards.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Topical medicines are not going to work as it is very deeply present within your skin. It is a concise 15 minute procedure under local anesthesia and requires no admission into a hospital. It is a prevalent disease and can occur to anybody due to the occlusion of normal sebaceous glands. I hope this answers your questions. Regards.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
