Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 29-year-old healthy female. My height is 5 feet and my weight is 60 kg. Lately, I have been experiencing sexual headaches (orgasmic headaches after masturbation). I have not been experiencing this before these recent episodes. There is another issue in which I have not been having periods for almost a year now for which I have not taken proper medication as of yet. I am worried that these sexual headaches will persist though it is not something I have experienced beforehand be it masturbation or with my partner.

Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

Hormonal imbalances are causing these symptoms for you. It is better to have detailed general physical and specific health work. Have a detailed check-up for any health issue and try to have regular and complete treatment. I suggest the following.

1. Have a normal balanced diet with less salt, sugar, oil, and spice.

2. Have daily walks and exercise.

3. Try to have a normal BMI (body mass index) and weight.

4. Have combined oral contraceptive pills for 3 months to regulate cycles.

5. Have blood test on day 2 ( progesterone, prolactin, insulin, FSH (follicle stimulating hormone), and testosterone) and transvaginal scan.

Collect laboratory results and discuss them here or with a local gynecologist. Hormonal imbalances can cause masturbation pain. You can have the tablet Postan (Mefenamic Acid) 500 mg 8 hourly for pain. You can consult a specialist doctor, and take medications with their consent. Have recreational activities and long enjoyable orgasms before sex.

Thank you.

The Probable causes

Hormonal imbalance.

Investigations to be done

1. All hormonal profiles on day 2 of periods. 2. Transvaginal scan.

Differential diagnosis

1. Stress, anxiety, and PCOD.

Probable diagnosis

PCOD with hormonal imbalance.

Regarding follow up

With laboratory reports after a month.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
