Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have difficulty in having sex because there is a pain in the vagina.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Pain during sex can be caused by many reasons. You have not mentioned much about your problems and symptoms. The information given by you was too general. So you need to find the cause.

It can be due to poor lubrication during foreplay, so you need to spend some time during foreplay. Pain can also be due to genital herpes, yeast infection, trichomonas infection which can cause pain during sex.

Endometriosis can also be a problem, and it requires a surgical procedure to manage it.

Also sometimes, there is muscle spasm whenever one thinks of sex, a psychological problem called vaginismus.

Now, you need to consult a doctor in person to find the exact cause of pain. In general, relaxation techniques like yoga, exercise can help a lot.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

I consulted a doctor, she examined me and said that my hymen is intact. She told me to try with my fingers; it hurts a lot. When my partner tries to do, there is severe pain that I am unable to do anything. Now, I am willing to try by myself. How can I do it by myself?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, you can try it by yourself. There are some lubricants with an anesthetic property. You can apply it and then try with fingers or instruments of different sizes available in the market, starting from smaller to a larger one. You can try small one on the first day. If it is comfortable, then take one size bigger on the next day. Gradually, increase the size and finally use a bigger one. Hope this will help you.
